This project, worked in collaboration with Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala, brings to life the faces and famous phrases of some of the most renowned liberal thinkers, including Ayn Rand, Ludwig von Mises, and Friedrich Hayek, Henry Hazlitt, among others.
The project involved designing seven posters, each featuring a well-known liberal thinker such as Rand, Mises, and Hayek. When viewed through an augmented reality app, these posters came to life, providing students with clues to win the game and a fun way to engage and learn with these influential figures.
Final Poster Design.
The design of the posters was a crucial aspect of the project. Each poster was meticulously crafted to showcase the face and most famous phrases of well-known liberal thinkers, such as Rand, Mises, and Hayek. The posters were designed with vibrant colors, bold typography, and dynamic imagery to draw the attention of the students and create a visually captivating experience. The composition and overall aesthetic of each poster were carefully considered to ensure that they effectively communicated the intended message and added to the immersive quality of the game.
Design Process / Finding a Style.
The art direction process was critical in finding the right style for the project. The goal was to create posters that would be both educational and visually engaging, so the art direction had to strike a balance between these two elements.
I took an iterative approach. I experimented with different styles and techniques to find the perfect match for this unique project. I wanted the posters to be eye-catching, engaging and to reflect the wit and intelligence of the figures they portrayed. I went through several rounds of sketches and revisions, constantly refining the designs until they met my standards and the client's expectations. Overall, the art direction process was an exciting and challenging journey that helped me push my creative limits.
